Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 August 2026
These terms apply to the use of atoca.food, the website of the restaurant A Toca, in Cacilhas. By browsing the site, you accept them.
1. Who we are
- Restaurante A Toca
- Rua Cândido dos Reis 93, Cacilhas, 2800-270 Almada, Portugal
- Phone: +351 212 764 183 · WhatsApp: +351 912 070 333
- E-mail: [email protected]
2. What this site is for
The site presents the restaurant, the menu, the location and the opening hours, and publishes articles about food and about Cacilhas. It also serves as a starting point for booking requests, which are routed through WhatsApp or by phone.
It is not an ordering or payment platform: nothing is charged through this site.
3. Bookings
A request sent by WhatsApp, phone or e-mail does not by itself constitute a confirmed booking. The booking exists only once we confirm it, stating the day, time and number of people.
We hold the table for 15 minutes past the booked time. After that, if there is demand, we may give it to other guests. If you expect to be late, let us know using the contacts above — where we can, we will accommodate you.
To cancel, simply tell us through the same channel you used to book. We appreciate as much notice as possible.
4. Menu, prices and allergens
The menu published on the site is indicative. We work with fresh fish and seafood, so daily availability depends on the market and the season — some dishes may be unavailable, and some prices vary with weight and the day’s market rate.
The prices that apply are always those displayed in the restaurant at the time of the meal, and they include VAT at the legal rate in force.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, tell the floor staff before ordering. Allergen information is given in person, because recipes and suppliers can change; do not rely solely on what is published on the site.
5. Site content
The texts, photographs, logo and other content are the property of the restaurant A Toca or of their respective authors, and are protected by Portuguese copyright law.
You are welcome to share links to our pages. Reproducing texts or photographs on other sites, or for commercial purposes, requires prior permission — write to us and we will usually say yes.
6. Limitation of liability
We work to keep the information on the site correct and current, but errors or temporarily outdated content are possible — particularly in the opening hours and the menu. Before travelling to us, please confirm by phone or WhatsApp.
We are not liable for site downtime caused by hosting, network or maintenance failures.
7. Third-party links
The site contains links to external services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and social networks. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, for which we are not responsible. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms whenever necessary. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the Portuguese courts have jurisdiction.
In the event of a consumer dispute, you have the right to turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, under Portuguese Law no. 144/2015. You can consult the list of available bodies at consumidor.gov.pt or use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
